Responsibilities:
- Harvest vegetables according to quality and quantity requirements, adhering to safety guidelines and farm procedures.
- Inspect crops to identify ripe vegetables and ensure only the highest quality produce is selected.
- Carefully handle vegetables to avoid bruising or damage during the picking process.
- Sort and pack harvested vegetables into appropriate containers or bins, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to packaging standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing any debris or waste materials.
- Report any crop issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly identify ripe vegetables and differentiate between different types.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain a consistent pace throughout the day.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Previous experience in agriculture or farming is an asset but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
