Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd. is a leading aquaculture company specializing in salmon farming. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Aquaculture Workers. As an Aquaculture Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our salmon farms, ensuring the health and well-being of our fish and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine tasks related to salmon farming, including feeding, monitoring, and maintaining optimal environmental conditions for fish health and growth.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of aquaculture equipment, including nets, cages, and feeding systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of fish stocks, identifying and reporting any signs of disease, parasites, or other abnormalities.
• Assist in the implementation of fish health management programs, including vaccination and treatment protocols.
• Participate in the harvesting and processing of salmon, adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain aquaculture equipment, such as pumps, filters, and aeration systems.
• Monitor and record environmental parameters, such as water temperature, oxygen levels, and salinity, to ensure optimal conditions for fish growth.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to all relevant regulations and company policies.
• Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other aquaculture workers and supervisors to achieve production targets and maintain farm efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular cleaning and disinfection of equipment and facilities.
• Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to aquaculture practices and industry trends.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in aquaculture, fisheries, or related field is desirable but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to unexpected situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to swim and comfortable working on and around water bodies.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications for data recording and reporting.
