Responsibilities:
- Sort and grade vegetables based on their quality, size, and appearance.
- Package vegetables in containers or bags according to specific guidelines.
- Weigh and label packages accurately to ensure proper pricing and identification.
- Inspect vegetables for any defects or damages and remove or discard them as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Operate packing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any issues or malfunctions with machinery, equipment, or product quality to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the agricultural or food processing industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
