Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform daily cleaning tasks in guest rooms, common areas, and other designated areas of the motel. This includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, changing linens, and replenishing supplies as necessary. Ensure all areas are properly sanitized and free of any debris or stains.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Maintain a well-stocked inventory of essential cleaning products to ensure efficient and uninterrupted cleaning operations.
- Guest Assistance: Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints regarding cleanliness and provide assistance as needed. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their stay.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while performing cleaning duties. Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to established procedures. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Coordinate with the front desk and maintenance staff to address any specific guest requirements or maintenance issues promptly.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that cleaning tasks have been completed to the highest standards. Identify and address any areas that require additional attention or improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or motel setting, is an asset. However, we are also open to training motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods. Motel cleaning often requires repetitive motions and strenuous activities.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to identify areas that need cleaning or maintenance. Maintain high cleanliness standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Work efficiently to complete cleaning duties within designated timeframes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to communicate with guests and team members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as required. Motel operations may require a flexible work schedule to accommodate guest needs.
