Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Beef Cattle Farm Worker in Canada. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day care and management of our beef cattle herd. Table of Contents


  • Assist in the daily care and feeding of beef cattle, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and are maintained in a healthy condition.
  • Monitor and observe the herd for signs of illness, injury, or distress, and report any concerns to the farm supervisor.
  • Assist in the handling and moving of cattle, using safe and humane techniques to minimize stress.
  • Participate in the maintenance of cattle facilities, including cleaning, repairing fences, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist with the calving process, providing necessary support to cows and newborn calves as required.
  • Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments to cattle as directed by the farm supervisor or veterinarian.
  • Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery, such as tractors, loaders, and feeding systems, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Assist with pasture management, including rotational grazing and weed control.
  • Perform general farm duties as assigned, such as cleaning barns, maintaining water troughs, and assisting with farm maintenance tasks.


  • Previous experience working on a beef cattle farm is preferred, but not mandatory. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Good understanding of animal welfare practices and a genuine interest in working with cattle.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that require moderate to heavy lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with farm supervisors and other team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate farm equipment is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time position that may require working on weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime hours, especially during critical periods such as calving season.
  • The work environment involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, mud, and dust.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment.
