Responsibilities:

• Assist welders and fitters in fabricating and assembling metal structures, components, and equipment.
• Prepare materials and work areas by cleaning, grinding, and cutting metal pieces as needed.
• Provide support in the setup and operation of welding and cutting equipment.
• Help in the layout and measurement of materials according to project specifications.
• Ensure the proper handling and storage of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a construction or welding environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of welding and fitting techniques.
• Familiarity with various welding tools, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and perform manual tasks.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• A commitment to safety and following established procedures.
• Valid work authorization in Canada.
