Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Labourers in the field of Labourer Fruit Farming. Responsibilities:

1. Cultivation and Planting: Assist in the preparation of fields for planting by clearing debris, tilling the soil, and ensuring appropriate irrigation systems are in place. Support the planting process by sowing seeds, transplanting seedlings, and providing necessary care to young plants.
2. Crop Maintenance: Participate in routine farm maintenance tasks, including weeding, pruning, thinning, and applying fertilizers or pesticides as instructed by the farm supervisor. Monitor crop health and report any signs of disease, pest infestation, or other issues that may affect the fruit yield.
3. Irrigation and Nutrient Management: Help maintain irrigation systems by ensuring proper water flow, adjusting sprinklers, and conducting regular checks for leaks or malfunctions. Assist in applying fertilizers or nutrients to plants as per the farm’s guidelines.
4. Harvesting and Sorting: Collaborate with the farm team to harvest ripe fruits manually, adhering to quality standards and safety protocols. Sort and pack harvested fruits for distribution, ensuring only high-quality produce is selected.
5. Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and repair of farm equipment, tools, and machinery. Keep work areas clean and organized, including storage facilities and packing areas.
6. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices. Comply with applicable regulations and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including supervisors, farm managers, and fellow labourers, to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of tasks. Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive and respectful work atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Basic knowledge of farming practices and familiarity with fruit crops (preferred but not mandatory).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
• Valid work permit or Canadian citizenship (if applicable).
