Farm Labourer

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Labourer to join our agricultural team. As a Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for performing various manual tasks to support the daily operations of our farm. Your primary duties will include assisting with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, as well as maintaining and repairing farm structures and equipment. Responsibilities:

• Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting a variety of crops, following established farming practices and guidelines.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Perform manual tasks, including weeding, pruning, and thinning of crops, to ensure optimal growth and yield.
• Monitor crops for pests, diseases, and other issues, reporting any concerns to the farm supervisor or manager.
• Participate in the maintenance and repair of farm structures, fences, and equipment as needed.
• Clean and maintain farm buildings, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized working environment.
• Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of farm produce and supplies as required.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
• Adhere to farm policies and procedures, including those related to quality control and environmental sustainability.
• Collaborate with other farm workers and supervisors to accomplish daily tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance job knowledge and performance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working on a farm or in a physically demanding outdoor environment is preferred but not required.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of agricultural practices, including planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques.
• Familiarity with farm machinery and equipment is a plus.
