Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to engage children in a range of educational and recreational experiences.
• Create a warm, caring, and supportive atmosphere where children feel secure and valued.
• Observe and assess each child's individual needs, progress, and challenges, and communicate this information to parents and caregivers as needed.
• Encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through interactive play and structured learning.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
• Supervise and participate in indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring the children's safety at all times.
• Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and families, involving them in their child's development and progress.
• Collaborate with other daycare staff members to create a cohesive and enriching educational program for all children.
• Handle minor disciplinary issues with understanding and patience, promoting positive behavior and conflict resolution skills among children.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (if applicable), or equivalent certification as required by the relevant province or territory.
• Previous experience working in a daycare or childcare setting, demonstrating a passion for working with children.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles and the ability to apply them effectively in the classroom.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, creativity, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of children from different cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the daycare's supportive and inclusive environment.
• Fluency in English (and other languages if applicable) to effectively communicate with children and parents.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship to work in Canada.
