- Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies to achieve the company's short-term and long-term goals while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure seamless and safe flight operations, ground handling, and passenger services.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Flight Operations, Maintenance, Cabin Crew, and Ground Services, to maintain high levels of operational excellence and teamwork.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Oversee the fleet management process, ensuring that all aircraft are properly maintained, serviced, and comply with aviation regulations.
- Continuously assess industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance our airline's competitiveness and service quality.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring all employees are trained and adhere to industry and company safety standards.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and industry partners.
- Manage and resolve any operational issues or emergencies effectively, making decisions that prioritize passenger safety and satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of operational professionals, encouraging their growth and development within the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in airline operations, with a minimum of 8 years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian aviation regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
