Table of Contents

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a variety of cleaning activities, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing designated areas of the premises.
  2. Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and toiletries to maintain a neat and tidy appearance in guest rooms.
  3. Empty and clean waste containers, ensuring proper disposal of trash in accordance with established procedures.
  4. Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, stairways, and employee areas, to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the establishment.
  5. Follow specific instructions provided by the housekeeping supervisor or management to ensure efficient and effective cleaning processes.
  6. Report any maintenance or repair issues observed during cleaning duties to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
  7. Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  8. Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
  9. Collaborate with other team members and departments to foster a positive work environment and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  10. Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and professional appearance while on duty.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. We are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  2. Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, while also being a team player when required.
  3. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  5. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  6. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
  7. Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and equipment usage is an asset.
  8. Eligibility to work in Canada.
